EATON — Gail Lynn Brown, 58, of Eaton, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 after a 20-year battle with cancer. She was born October 4, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Harold and Annie (Snell) Schwegel. She was a long-time resident of Huber Heights, Ohio and worked in several nursing homes in the Dayton area. She was a member of the Northridge Church of Christ. She loved spending time with family and trips to the beach. Gail is survived by her beloved husband, Vernon Brown; two sisters, Yolanda Baker; Dana Herreid (James Metz); two brothers, Timothy Schwegel; Brian Schwegel (Kristina); one daughter, Lanina Rogers (Jared); three sons, Robert Elkins (Melanie); Michael Elkins (Ashley); Caleb Elkins; 12 grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, one nephew and friends. Funeral Service 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, OH 45409. Philip Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, prior to the service, from 1 p.m. at the mausoleum chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kettering Medical Foundation, Kettering Medical Center, 3535 Southern Blvd., Kettering, OH 45429, in memory of Gail Brown for young cancer patients.
