HUBER HEIGHTS — John A. Stoddard, age 83, of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Kindred Hospital. John was a retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force with 21 years of service, Personnel Director at WDTN for 8 years and the Owner of Huber Heights Office Supply for 15 years. He attended London Baptist Church in Ohio, East Naples Baptist Church in Florida. John was a member of Milton Athletic Club, American Legion, VFW and a proud Kentucky Colonel. One of John's most memorable moments was participating with the Honor Flight on June 6, 2014. John was preceded in death by his father, John A. Stoddard, Sr.; mother, Marion E.; step-father, Donald Graham; sisters, Martha Roderick & Joan Horal. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, June M.; sons & daughters-in-law, Dennis & Brenda Stoddard of Jamestown, John W. & Sarah Stoddard of Dayton; daughter & son-in-law, Deborah & Stephen Kirby of London; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives & friends. Funeral service was Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Pastor Stephen Kirby officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors or Honor Flight of Dayton in John's memory.
