Laurajean Hein (1945 - 2015)

HUBER HEIGHTS — Laurajean "L. J." Hein, 70, formerly of Piqua, more recently of Huber Heights, died at 5:55 pm Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Ohio State Medical Center. She was born June 24, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Paul O. and Edith (Bourne) Lyons. She married Darrell A. Hein July 3, 2010 in Montezuma; and he survives.

Other survivors include step-son Joe Hein of Montezuma; two grandsons, Anthony and Tyler Hein; and four siblings, Paul B. Lyons of Georgetown, Florida, Patrick (Ann) Lyons of Grands Island, Florida, Kathleen (Tom) Monnier of Hamilton, and Edith (Larry) Snell of Dayton.

Mrs. Hein was a 1963 graduate of Houston High School and attended Miami Jacobs College. She retired in 2007 from the Baumfolder Company, Sidney and had previously worked for Decker Packing Company and Ledex Corp. both of Piqua. While family was her number one priority, she enjoyed playing softball, was an avid bowler having bowled in tournaments through the Country and was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church of Huber Heights.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday, December 11, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas L. Bolte as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Royal Oak Cemetery, Brookville. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home where a prayer service will be conducted at 5:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital or St. Vincent DePaul c/o St. Peter Catholic Church, 6185 Chambersburg Rd., Huber Heights, OH 45424.
