Robin Lail HICKORY Robin E. Sanders Lail, 53, of Hickory, went home to be with her Jesus Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, after six months of declining health. Born June 19, 1959, in Kings Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Victor Sanders and Alice McDaniel Sanders, of Granite Falls. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Dock (Callie) Lail; her grandparents, Ed and Lela Sanders and Lloyd and Vivian McDaniel. She was a member of Ransom Baptist Church and a member of the choir. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Allen Lail, Sr., of Hickory; one son, Robert Allen Lail, Jr., and wife, Lisa, of Morganton; one daughter, Ronda Elaine Lail, of Connelly Springs; three grandchildren, Robert McKinley Lail, of Morganton, Brooke Elizabeth Bowman, of Denver, N.C., and Christian Tyler Bowman, of Denver, N.C.; two brothers, Randy (Brother) Sanders and his wife, Linda of Granite Falls, and Timothy Albert Sanders and wife, Rebecca, of Granite Falls; one sister, Linda (Bird) Lail and husband, Bobby, of Granite Falls; and a number of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her three babies, pets, D.D., Coca, and Cuddles. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, (Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013), in the Chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. James Drennan officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to service, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Bass-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, in the VA State Cemetery in Salisbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robin Lail Expense Fund, c/o Bass-Smith Funeral Home, P.O.
