Billy Chad Dellinger HICKORY Billy Chad Dellinger, 35, passed away Nov. 20, 2012, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Billy was born, Sept. 29, 1977, in Catawba Co., to Billy H. and Rita Waters Dellinger. Billy was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division in Iraq. Surviving are his wife, Tia Parker Dellinger, of Hickory; son, Billy Tristan Dellinger, of Hickory; daughter, Lana Elise Dellinger, of Hickory; parents, Billy H. & Rita Dellinger, of Hickory; sister, Dana Pope and husband, Michael, of Hickory; brothers, David Brian Childers, of Huntersville, and Bradley Dellinger, of Hickory; niece, Haley Throneburg, of Hickory; and a nephew, Dalton Pope, of Hickory. A memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m. at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Faulkenbury and David Church officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #48. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at the church. Condolences may be made online at hickoryfh.com.
