Judith L. Lindsay HICKORY Mrs. Judith Arden Lane Lindsay, 73, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at Catawba Regional Hospice Home. She was born April 7, 1939, in Catawba County, the daughter of Emmitt and Doris Seaboch Lane. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Hickory and was active in the WELCA (Lutheran Women's Group) and a member of the local Post Polio Group. Judy was kindhearted and very devoted to her family and friends. Judy enjoyed traveling, the seasons of the year and caring for others before herself. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas W. Lindsay in 2010. Survivors include two daughters, Beth Hefner and husband, Gary, of Hickory and Kim Beal and husband, Terry, of Maiden; two sisters, Margaret Beth Bruner and husband, Johnny, of Hickory and Janice Willard and husband, Jerry, of Maiden; grandchildren, Scott Hefner and wife, Penny, Mark Hefner and fianc‚e, Mandi Reid, Lindsay Auton and husband, Matt, Brett Beal and wife, Amanda and Cody Beal; great-grand-children, Hayden Auton, Maddox Auton and Cheyenne Beal; and many good friends and neighbors. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Richard Fritz. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. before the service at the church.
