Phyllis Jean Vincent, 75, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday (12/31/2016) at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born November 29, 1941 in Addison, MI and was the daughter of Ernest B. and Ethel H. (Marvin) Seamans. Phyllis graduated from Litchfield High School in 1960 and went on to work at State Farm Insurance in Marshall. She also was a church secretary at the First Baptist Church in Fort Payne, Alabama. On August 11, 1961, Phyllis married Louis D. Vincent and he preceded her in death in 2010. Phyllis and Louis were also members of the First Baptist Church in Litchfield.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda (Don) Knisley of Albion, Wendy (Rev. Jesse) Jennings of the Philippines, Jeanna (Williams James) Wolf of Quincy, Julia (Rev. John) Boss of Dothan, Alabama; two sons, Bryan (Linda) Vincent of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Andrew (Valerie) Vincent of Prospect, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Seamans.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Litchfield, with pastor Brent Stille officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Litchfield. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Litchfield. Memorials are suggested to Nehemiah Teams Inc. for development of a missions training facility.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Litchfield.
