Aaron K. Yoder Obituary
Aaron K. Yoder, 91, of Killbuck OH, went to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 12, 2017.
Aaron was born in Fairview, MI on August 6, 1926 to Joel and Leah (Kauffman) Yoder. Aaron is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Sylvia (Wagler) Yoder, who was by his side when he passed into eternity. His eight children: Brenda (Henry) Troyer of Killbuck OH, A.J. (Karen) Yoder of Mio MI, Joel (Michelle) Yoder of Fairview MI, Mary Ann (J.R.) Weaver of Sarasota FL, David (Delores) Yoder and Don Yoder of Fairview MI, Janice (Ernie) Mast of Williston SC, and Joyce (Chris) Miller of Sarasota, 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Aaron was preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Yoder; his parents Joel and Leah, four brothers, William, John, Dan, and Joel, and two sisters Anna Gerber from Canada and Mary Hochstedler from Burr Oak, MI.
Aaron leaves a godly legacy to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to follow. He was loved by many and always had a cheerful word to give to those he met. He authored a book "The Twig That Would Not Bend" that details his life experiences and personal testimony. Aaron was known for his good sense of humor, his cheery whistle, always making the best of a difficult situation. He enjoyed the different places he lived which included Jerome MI, Seymour MO, Fairview MI, Killbuck OH, and winter months in Sarasota FL.
Visitation hours will be at Immanuel Fellowship, 3533 Tolbert Rd, Wooster OH from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Hampton Funeral Home, 3380 W Carleton Road, Hillsdale, MI 49242 with burial immediately following at Stoll Cemetery in Jerome, MI. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to: Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
