Alan Dennis Baker Obituary
Alan Dennis Baker, age 66, of Hudson, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital.

He was born July 30, 1947, in Hudson, to Gerald Dewey and Dorothy May (Jacob) Baker.

Alan served in the US Army with three Tours of Duty to Vietnam, during which time he earned the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. October 7, 1973, he married Linda Suzanne Hicks in Powell, TN and she survives.

He was a member of the Adrian Church of the Nazarene and the American Legion.

Growing up Alan lived most of his life on the Will Carleton Farm in Hudson.

In addition to his wife, Linda of 40 years, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy May of Hudson; four children, Angela Denise (Alan) Kwok of Oklahoma City, OK, Andrew Dennis (Indira) Baker of Overland Park, KS, Aaron Dean Baker of Grand Rapids, MI and Staff Sgt. Adam Drew (Alanna) Baker of the US Marine Corp, Chapel Hill, NC; three brothers, Gordon (Beth) Baker of Pekin, IL, Dr. Keith (Kathy) Baker of Hillsdale, MI and Lynn (Karen) Baker of Columbus, OH; and two granddaughters, Elizabeth May Kwok and Amelia Rose Kwok. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services for Alan will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Reverend Mike Dunson officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson with full military rites conducted by the American Legion Hannan-Colvin Post #180. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
