Albert Jacobs Neukom Obituary
Albert Jacobs Neukom - fondly known as Jaysee, Jay, Botts, Albert, Judge, and Grandpa passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 peacefully at home. He and his twin sister, Julia were born June 19, 1946 in Adrian, Michigan to Albert Jacobs and Jeanette Miller Neukom.
On August 23, 1969 he married Mickey Murphy. Together they raised three boys, Jake, Daniel, and Mark. Albert graduated from Adrian High School in 1964, from Central Michigan University in 1969 and from the Detroit College of Law in 1972.
Albert was active in the local community, belonging to several organizations, his beloved canoe group as well as his bridge clubs. Albert loved life on Sand Lake in Onsted, sailing and his many friends.
Albert is survived by his wife, Mickey; three sons, Jake (Lynne Herbener), Daniel, and Mark (Michelle Keiser); four grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Keturah and Joel Neukom; twin sister, Julia (Larry) Titley and sisters, Jan Neukom and Jody Talbot; niece, Sarah (Peter) Harris; three nephews, John (Hilary) Titley, Ben and Ian Talbot and his beloved dog, Pete.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Tyler Neukom.
A Celebration of Life service for Albert Neukom will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at at College Baptist Church in Hillsdale with Dr. Thomas Burke presiding. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-8 p.m. Thursday from at VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Tyler Neukom Memorial Scholarship Fund with the Hillsdale County Community Foundation or we invite you to practice a random act of kindness in his memory.
