Allen is a lifelong Hudson area resident, and was employed as a supervisor at Adrian Rack Company for over 30 years, before retiring in 1987. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He further honored all who serve in his active membership in the Hudson American Legion Hannan-Colvin Post #180, and the D.A.V.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Connie, are three step sons, Jerry McMurray of Hudson, James McMurray of Rogers City, MI, and William (Ann) McMurray of Brooklyn, MI; three step-daughters, Cathy McMurray of Ypsilanti, MI, Garnetta (Tom) Luckett of Tecumseh, MI, and Donna (Ron) Jordan of Tecumseh; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Cutler of Tecumseh; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and his beloved canine companions, Brownie, Socks, and Brandy.

Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Morse; twin brother, Charles Morse; and a step-son, Gerald McMurray.

A funeral service for Allen will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Clyde Wonders officiating.
