HILLSDALE - Antony Wayne "Tony" Ginolfi of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Hillsdale County. He was born July 19, 1948 in Camp Kilmer, New Jersey the son of Harry and Iris (Traxler) Ginolfi.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Ginolfi, whom he married on July 3, 1989. He is also survived by one brother, Stephen (Jane) Ginolfi of Hillsdale; one sister, Maria (Jeff) Brown of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; one brother-in-law and one niece.

Tony was a longtime resident of Hillsdale and he was a 1966 graduated from Hillsdale High School. He retired from North Adams-Jerome Public Schools after 15 years of service as a Custodian. He worked as a volunteer for many years in the Hillsdale County Community, serving in several different organizations and charities and serving at the Hillsdale County Fair. In 2000, he was named "Volunteer of the Year" by the Hillsdale County Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed announcing the sports update and other local events on WCSR Radio in Hillsdale.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor the life of Antony Wayne "Tony" Ginolfi will be held at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 beginning at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Clyde Wonders officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home in Hillsdale on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Hillsdale County or to the North Adams-Jerome Athletic Boosters Club.
