Betty L. (Everly) Walters Obituary
Betty L. Walters, 86, of Hudson, died Thursday morning, July 31, 2014, in Adrian, Michigan. She was born September 19, 1927, in West Virginia to the late James and Eva (Butcher) Everly. She married Harvey R. Walters on October 23, 1946, in Dallas, Georgia, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2014.

Betty lived in Toledo, Ohio where she attended high school. She and Harvey also previously resided in Riga and Jerome, Michigan, before moving to Hudson in 1996. Betty dedicated much of her life as a homemaker and also helped Harvey with both crop and livestock farming, Betty enjoyed playing cards, bowling, bingo. sewing, crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, and spending winters in Florida.

Surviving Betty is a son, Robert Walters of Jackson, Michigan; two daughters, Judy (Richard) Plum of Manitou Beach, Michigan, and Cathy (Jon) Pope of Curtis, Michigan; one brother, James Everly of Walbridge, Ohio; one sister, Connie of Toledo, Ohio; ten grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband of 67 years, Harvey, Betty was preceded in death by one son, Richard; and eleven siblings.

A funeral service for Betty will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Dan Pann officiating. Private interment will take place in Riga Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
