Carl Galen Shock Obituary
Carl Galen Shock, 75, of Camden, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at home. He was born September 13, 1942 in Defiance, Ohio to Arvel G. and Bessie (Mulligan) Shock. Carl married Fukuko Aizawa on December 24, 1964 in Tokyo, Japan and she preceded him in death in 2016.
He served his country in the United States Airforce and attended RETS Technical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Carl was a member of the Computer Club in Fremont and enjoyed electronics. He liked working on the farm, working with his hands and the outdoors.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Shock of Fremont, IN; sons, Gary Shock of Camden, Joji (Miki) Higuchi of Hokkaido, Japan; grandchildren, Travis (Cassandra) Smith, Steven Walker, Raven King, Jevnee Walker; great grandchildren, Sephany, Zoey, Devlin, Dylan, Isaiah, Elijah and Amayah and very close friends, Bonnie Miller of Camden and Stephanie (Rick) Jackson.
In addition to his wife, Fukuko, Carl was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Funeral Service for Carl Shock will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Pastor Rita Lechleidner officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Cemetery in Defiance, Ohio. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
