Cherie was born and raised in Hillsdale, MI and attended Michigan State University where she met her first husband Dan which created a die hard MSU Fan for life.
She was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene in Jackson, Michigan. Cherie had an unwavering faith in Christ her Lord which she deeply instilled in her family. She was at her happiest when spending time with her family that she cherished most.
She enjoyed giving back through various ministries at church and also had a love for gardening. Cherie had a very big and giving heart with a special gift for hospitality.
Christmas time was her very favorite time of year because she had such a giving heart, most famously through baking cookies for her neighborhood and spoiling her family.
Cherie is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Jean Brown, her sister Sonya Laney, her first husband Orie Daniel Schow, and second husband Raymond Edward Denney.
She is survived by her sons Stephen (Bonnie) Schow, Scott (Cathleen) Schow, step-children Barb (David) Sigers, James Denney, 8 grandchildren, & 12 great grandchildren.
Following her wishes, Cherie was cremated and a celebration of her life will take place on Friday, December 22nd at First Church of the Nazarene 3905 Clinton Road Jackson, Michigan. Visitation with family will be from 10-11 a.m. and a celebration of Cherie's life and legacy will immediately follow.
