Mrs.  Cleona Belle VanCamp Obituary
Cleona Belle VanCamp of Jerome, Michigan passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility. She was born on October 8, 1922 in Jerome, Michigan the daughter of George and Iva (Hart) Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reo D. VanCamp on August 5, 2015; one son, Dennis VanCamp and one brother, Marion Miller. She is survived by three children, Brenda (Chuck) Bollen, Rick (Karen) VanCamp and Bob VanCamp; four grandchildren, Kevin (Debbie) Bollen, Kristina Waelde, Kelli (Tyler) Bogue and Mark (Kitty) VanCamp; three great-grandchildren, Evie, Zach and Ben; several nephews and a special family friend, Charlotte Marshall.
Mrs. VanCamp was a longtime member of the Jerome United Methodist Church and the Jerome United Methodist Women and she was a volunteer for Domestic Harmony. She worked as a Registered LPN at the Hillsdale Health Center and then worked as a cook at the North Adams-Jerome Public Schools and retired from there after 16 years of service. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She was particularly known for her baked beans and sweet rolls. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband to Las Vegas to see the shows. On November 3, 2001 Mr. and Mrs. VanCamp won a Hot Air Balloon Ride in Jackson which they enjoyed together.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Cleona Belle VanCamp will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Tim Puckett officiating. Interment will take place in the Aldrich West Cemetery in Somerset Township. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Hillsdale. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Jerome United Methodist Church, Domestic Harmony or to a .
