Mr.  Clyde M. Dryer Jr. Obituary
Clyde M. Dryer, Jr., 86, of Montgomery and formerly of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Drew's Place of Hillsdale. He was born August 13, 1930 in Hillsdale to Clyde and Virginia (Brown) Dryer. Clyde was married to Phyllis Gillespie who preceded him in death and he later married Dorlene Frank-Ferrier and she survives.

He graduated from Montgomery High School and went on to honorably serve and retire from The United States Navy and Reserve. He also was employed with the United States Postal Service where he retired after a lengthy career. During his career with the Postal Service Clyde worked as a letter carrier in Jackson and was the Post Master in Frontier and Reading. Clyde also loved to cook.

Survivors include his wife Dorlene (Frank-Ferrier) Dryer; sons, Roger (Kathy) Dryer of Hillsdale, Mark Dryer of Waynesville, Ohio, Scott (Arthur) and Greg Dryer both of Gainesville, Florida; Stepsons, Scott Ferrier of Camden and Steve (Dawn) Ferrier of Montgomery; Stepdaughter, Sheryl (David) Meyer of Swanson, Ohio; sister, Judy (Charles) Hartman of Reading; brothers, Jim Dryer of Bradenton, Florida, Jerry Dryer of Hillsdale and Jack (Patti) Dryer of Bostic, North Carolina and an extended number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Phyllis Jean (Gillespie) Dryer.

Cremation has taken place and graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Camden Cemetery. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the New Beginning Church in Montgomery, Michigan. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading.
