David Allan Kowalewski Obituary
David Allan Kowalewski, 61, of Adrian, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Hillsdale Hospital. He was born April 2, 1955 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Alexander and Ann Marie (Callahan) Kowalewski.
Dave graduated from Wyandotte Roosevelt High and later graduated from Western Kentucky University where he attended on a full-ride swimming scholarship. He was currently employed as a quality control inspector at Hornet Manufacturing in Hillsdale. Dale was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus Hillsdale chapter, and he was also an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed carpentry, camping, working on cars, hiking and back packing. Dale also dearly loved his family.
Survivors include his son, Dale (Lea) Kowalewski of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; grandson, Emerson; five siblings, Toni (Frank) Klimowicz, Greg (Donna) Kowalewski, Joseph (ReNae) Kowalewski, Jeffrey (Diane) Kowalewski and Mark (Dawn) Kowalewski and several nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Renee Roe.
A Memorial Mass for David Kowalewski will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale with Fr. David Reamsnyder officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Michigan. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
