Donna Marie (Methvin) Rapes Obituary
Donna Marie Rapes, 68, of rural Pittsford, died early Thursday, February 2, 2017, at her home, under the gentle care of her family and Hospice of Lenawee. Born in Harrison, AR on December 29, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Theron and Donnie (McEntire) Methvin. She married the love of her life, William F. Rapes on August 30, 1965, in Harrison, AR. He survives.

Donna graduated from North Adams High School Class of 1966, and served her family as a loving homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and took great pride in her garden, tending beautiful flowers and canning her harvest each year. Her greatest pleasure was creating memories with her family, especially with her grandchildren whom she adored.

Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 51 years, Bill, are their children, Bruce (Melissa) Repesh of Holland, MI and Jennifer Langston of Pittsford; her sisters, Ruby (Gerald) Daigrepont of Baton Rouge, LA and Barbara Jean Methvin of Prairie Grove, AR; four brothers, J.C. (Beverly) Methvin of Harrison, AR, Bob (Pat) Methvin of St. Joe, AR, Willie (Barbara) Methvin of St. Joe, AR, and Charles (Jill) Methvin of Hastings, MI; and her beloved grandchildren, Frank, Taylor, Ashleigh, Anna and Katie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Rapes, and a brother, James Methvin.

A funeral service for Donna will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Hudson Wesleyan Church with Pastor Wesley Rowan officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Leonardson Cemetery near Pittsford. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
