Eldon Lee Bilby Obituary
Eldon Lee Bilby born on October 6, 1938 went to be with the Lord January, 19th, 2017. Eldon was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors.

Eldon was no stranger to hard work. He was a union drywaller for 44 years and a member of the Local 1004 Carpenter's Union. He was always out cutting wood, mowing the grass or tending to his chickens. He wasn't one to sit idle for long.

Eldon was also a lover of bluegrass music and played the guitar, mandolin and sang for many years. Many folks remember him as the Long Tall Texan at the Addison Gun Club jam sessions back in the 1980's and 90's. Where he was a lifelong member.

Eldon's sense of humor was infectious. He could inject humor into any situation. Even joking with his family and nursing staff right up until the end. He met and impacted many people's lives in his 78 years.

Finally, Eldon's love for his family was unsurpassed. He was married to and survived by his wife, Phyllis for 52 years. They shared a lifetime of love and laughter.

He is survived by his children, Lee (Deb) Bilby, Doug (Wendy) Bilby and Gina (Claude) Price and his grandchildren, great children, nieces and nephews and many friends.

At Eldon's request, there will be no funeral or visitation services. The family is hosting a celebration of life at the Addison Gun Club at 5 p.m. Saturday, February 4. All who knew Eldon are welcome.
