Elizabeth Jane (Ashley) Van Wyck of Jonesville, Michigan went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.

Jane, as she was known to her family and friends, was born October 1, 1918 in Muskegon, Michigan. Her parents were Martin Anselm Ashley and Barbara Elizabeth (Felber) Ashley.

She graduated with honors from Muskegon Senior High School in the class of 1936. She married Paul Clayton Van Wyck on August 21, 1942 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Muskegon, Michigan.

Surviving is her son, David Paul Van Wyck (Sharon) of Jonesville, Michigan; granddaughters, Angela Louise (Jason) Vallier of Gainesville, Georgia and Tara Eileen (Patrick) Baranowski of Oak Harbor, Ohio; grandsons, Christopher Jon Van Wyck (Corinn) of Ludington, Michigan, Aaron David Van Wyck (Sarah) of Jerome, Michigan, Justin Neal Van Wyck (Josie) of Jackson, Michigan and David Paul Van Wyck II (Kelley) of Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Also surviving is her brother, John (Jean) of Ludington, Michigan. Jane was blessed to have 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families.

She was an active member of the American Society of Women Accountants and a life member of the International Sorority of Beta Sigma Phi.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; granddaughter, Amy; sister, Marguerite; brother, Edward; brother, Robert; brother, Donald; brother, Martin and brother, Herbert.

Per her wishes, Jane has been cremated and will be buried with her husband in the courtyard of Saint Gregory's Episcopal Church in Norton Shores, Michigan. A memorial service to honor the life of Elizabeth Jane Van Wyck will be arranged and announced at a future date.
