Elmer "Skip" Wilson Jr. Obituary
Elmer "Skip" Wilson Jr., 76, of Jonesville, formerly of Waldron, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born June 12, 1937 in Hillsdale to Elmer & Vena (Loomis) Wilson Sr. He was married January 5, 2001 to Judy Deck and she survives.

Skip drove truck for W.J. Tighe Trucking retiring in the 1990's. He later had his own truck and he drove truck for Gampco in North Adams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Skip was also a member of the Morenci American Legion.

Surviving besides his wife Judy, 5 children, Beth Ann (Scott) McCavitt of Quincy, Rena Shamplo & Tony Mitchell of Angola, Rhonda Good & Steve Crafts of North Adams, Sonya (Brian) Lewis of North Carolina and Dwight (Andrea) Daniels of Jonesville; 16 granchidren and 2 great-grandsons; sister, Betty Peterson of Indiana; and special nieces, Donna Haskil and Donna Wanamaker.

He was preceded by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services for Skip Wilson will be Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home, Hillsdale with Pastor Clyde Wonders officiating. Interment will follow at Waldron Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
