Evelyn F. Iles Obituary

MOSCOW - Evelyn F. Iles, 82, of Moscow Township, passed away Saturday July 2, 2016 at Ridgecrest Health Campus, Jackson. She was born April 30, 1934 in Reading Township MI to Dwight and Lela (Good) Warner. Evelyn graduated from Reading High School in 1952 and became a teacher after graduating from Hillsdale College in 1955. She taught one year in Jonesville, two years in Quincy, Jerome Country School until it closed, and North Adams – Jerome Schools until retirement. Evelyn was also a leader in the Allen Modern Workers 4-H Club, member of South Litchfield Baptist Church, the NRA, and she was active at the Hillsdale County Fair and the 4-H small animal barn. Her hobbies included farming, deer hunting, and ceramics.

On June 9, 1956 she married LeRoy Iles and together they owned Iles This 'N That Farm. They raised mini horses, donkeys, peacocks, and other animals. LeRoy preceded her in death June 26, 2012.

Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Sauber of Jackson; son, Randy Iles of Allen; sons-in-law, Charlie Sauber and Dave Cutchall; sister, Shirley (Don) Williams of Fenton; brother, Merle (Jean) Warner of Michigan City IN; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her son Jeffery, daughter Pam Cutchall, grandson Ryan Sauber, and daughter-in-law Sherrie Iles.

Visitation is scheduled Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Litchfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 6630 W. Litchfield Rd., Litchfield, with Pastor Brent Stille officiating. Interment will follow in Allen Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to South Litchfield Baptist Church, Hillsdale College, Great Lakes Hospice, or Hillsdale County Fair Endowment Fund/Hillsdale Community Foundation.

We want to thank the staff at Ridgecrest Health Campus, Jackson MI, for the kind and loving care they provided to our mother, with a special thanks to Nikki B, Kassandra R, Amy, Cassidy, Rachel N, Lori L, Patti, Diane, Ephram, Micky, Holly, Lashonda, Cheryl & Sharon for all the extra special things you did for Mom. You were all like an extended family!
