Evelyn L. Bradstreet Obituary
HUDSON - Evelyn Louise Bradstreet, age 101 years, of Hudson, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Carols Country Haven in Osseo.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1913, in Wright Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan, the daughter of Earl W. And Myrtle H. (Martin) Mohr. Evelyn graduated from Hudson High School in 1931. She married George Berdell Bradstreet on Nov. 14, 1931, in North Adams.
He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1997. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting pictures with oils and chalk, yard work, flowers, handcrafts and making gifts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Lickley Corners Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Robert Bradstreet of Hudson, Hal (Beverly) Bradstreet of North Adams, Gayle Bradstreet of Mason, Paul (Carol) Bradstreet of Adrian, Kenneth (Barbara) Bradstreet of Gaylord; one daughter, Kay (Marvin) Brubacher of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Nelda (Richard) Mikolajezyk of Leonidas and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant son, Jimmy Bradstreet; granddaughter, Wanda Bradstreet; three brothers, Vernon, Gerald and Arthur Mohr; and two sisters, Dorothy Swander and Arlene Joughlin.
Funeral Services for Evelyn will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor John J. Poole officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Lickley Corners Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
