Franklin Roosevelt Price Obituary
Franklin Roosevelt Price, 84, of Montgomery passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born April 27, 1933, in North Adams to Harvey and Mayme (Byrd) Price and attended Reading High School. Franklin served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retiree of Hillsdale Tool. He was a member of the Montgomery American Legion and fond of attending yard sales and the Saturday sale at Hillsdale County Fairgrounds. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching all sports, especially those involving his grandchildren.
On November 28, 1954, he married Naomi Ford and she survives. Also surviving: three daughters, Linda (Nathan) Landis of Orland, Indiana, Sandra (Douglas) Coffy of Quincy, and Laurie (Jeff) Murphy of Pinckney; two sons, Roger (Debra) Price and Rick (Teresa) Price, both of Reading; two sisters, Gerry Bowditch of Jackson and Elinor (James) Spurlock of Quincy; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine sisters, and eight brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2018, at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Reverend Alan Fenstermaker officiating. Interment will follow in Berg Cemetery, Montgomery. Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Sunday. Memorials are suggested to the Montgomery American Legion.
