Gary D. Hepker Obituary

ALLEN - Gary D. Hepker, 57, of Allen, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 23, 1959 in Hillsdale to Eugene & Luella (Cunningham) Hepker. Gary is survived by his loving companion of over 22 years Tami (Blatchley) Fowler.

Gary was a farmer, he founded Hepker Farms in 2001. In 2012 his sons, Nathan & Corey joined the family farming operation. Gary was a graduate of Pittsford High School, class of 1977. He was a member of the Michigan Milk Producers Association. He was a former member of the Hillsdale County Soil Conservation Board. Gary had been involved with the Out-of-Towners 4-H Club, the Farm Bureau and the Jonesville J C's.

Survivors include his loving companion Tami; two sons, Nathan (Valarie) Hepker of Jonesville and Corey (Erica) Hepker of Allen; a grandson arriving in August of this year; step-daughter, Katie Fowler of Jonesville; siblings, Cathy Hepker of Hudson, Sue (Paul) Fifer of Petoskey, John Hepker of Pittsford, Mike (Lynda) Hepker of Mackinaw Island and Steve (Sandy) Hepker of Hudson; his mother Luella Hepker survives in Pittsford.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hepker

Funeral services for Gary Hepker will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Rev. Mr. Paul J. Fifer and Pastor Clyde Wonders officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
