Gideon Eric Hutchinson Obituary
Gideon Eric Hutchinson was born at 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2017, in Toledo, Ohio. The Lord Jesus in his providence saw fit to bring him home from his earthly sojourn 29 minutes later as he lay quietly in his loving father's arms. The Lord says, "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven." His parents, Allison and Eric, though sorely grieved, rejoice that this is now true not only of Gideon's angel, but of little Gideon himself. Gideon was a man of war a brief time, and his King has taken him to his reward of eternal peace.

Besides his parents, he is survived by an abundance of loving family, including: five adoring siblings, Ezra, Isabelle, Silas, Vivian, and Agnes; four grandparents, David and Carol Long of Portage, Durward Hutchinson of Monroe and Nancy Hutchinson, also of Monroe; two great-grandfathers, James Schulz of Monroe and Carlton Hutchinson of Stevensville; five cousins; and five aunts and uncles also survive.

There will be a public funeral service for Gideon Eric at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 6, at Hillsdale Orthodox Presbyterian Church followed by a graveside service at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale and a luncheon. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the diaconal fund of Hillsdale Orthodox Presbyterian Church. For online condolences, please visit www.eaglefuneralhomes.com.
