Glenn Howard Shoemaker Obituary
Glenn Howard Shoemaker, 89, of Hudson, died early Wednesday morning, January 25, 2017, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital in Adrian. He was born June 21, 1927, in Sylvania, Ohio, to the late Charles and Elsie (Bunting) Shoemaker.

He married Joyce A. Myers on December 4, 1948, in Angola, IN. She recently preceded him in death on February 19, 2016.

Glenn was a hard worker who was proud to provide for his family, working at various factories in the county, including Stubnitz Spring, Cargotainer and Norton Equipment. He is fondly remembered as a generous man, who would help many in need, and was always there for his family. Glenn was a longtime member of the Lickley's Corners Baptist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Darlene Parsons of Adrian; three sons, Bradley (Mary) Shoemaker of LaPorte, IN, John Shoemaker of Manitou Beach, and Joe (Betsy) Shoemaker of Hudson; daughter in-law, Karen Shoemaker of Dewitt, MI, two brothers, Charles (Nancy) Shoemaker of Onsted and Sidney (Deanna) Shoemaker of Higgins Lake, MI ; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Shoemaker, a son, Tim Shoemaker; and ten siblings.

A funeral service for Glenn will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 29, at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor John Poole officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson. The family will receive family and friends for visitation from 2-6 p.m. Saturday.
