Glenn L. Keith Sr Obituary
Glenn L. Keith Sr., 73, of Frontier, Michigan passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home of natural causes. He was born on November 15, 1944 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Clair and Gladys (VanDeusen) Keith. He was a graduate of Pittsford High School, Class of 1962.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane (Russell); three children, Glenn (Leslie) Keith of Wichita Falls, Texas, Rebecca (Jerod)Dailey of Decatur, Indiana, and Sarah (Aaron) Van Wyck of Jerome; brother, Claren Keith, of Pittsford, and sister, Virginia Reeser, of Pittsford; thirteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Glenn was an avid fisherman and hunter. He could be found hunting deer every year on Nov. 15, his birthday, opening day for firearms season. He also was an award winning coon hunter. He enjoyed woodworking, and his family called him "Mr. Fix-it". He coached his children's teams in summer baseball and softball leagues. He cherished all of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching their athletic events and other school activities.
Glenn worked at Daisy Parts, which later became Hillsdale Tool, for thirty-eight years. He started out on production machinery and went on to earn his Journeyman card for Tool Maker through the United States Department of Labor, December 26, 1990. He also received his Associate of Arts degree in Tool & Die from Jackson Community College. He worked as a Tool & Die maker for the Industrial Park plant of Hillsdale Tool for eighteen years.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Interment will follow in the Frontier Cemetery in Woodbridge Township. The family will receive friends for visitation from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 6th at the funeral home in Hillsdale.
