Gordon G. "Gordie" Bigelow Jr. Obituary
Gordon G. "Gordie" Bigelow Jr., 43, of Jonesville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at Hillsdale Hospital. He was born September 19, 1974 in Hillsdale to Gordon & Barbara Ann (Morris) Bigelow Sr., Gordy Sr. survives in Jonesville. Gordie Jr. was married to Erin Lovelette and she survives in Osseo. Gordie was the most kind-hearted and hardworking man you could meet. He loved his children and devoted his life to providing for them. He will be forever remembered for his witty hunting and fishing stories and for the love he expressed to his family.
Gordie was a 1992 graduate of Jonesville High School and later attended JCC to obtain a degree in corrections. He was employed at Tenneco in Litchfield the past 8 years. Gordie was an avid hunter and fisherman, having been taught the sports at a very young age. Over the years he spent thousands of hours sitting in the woods or on the lake with his dad looking for that big buck or trying to catch that massive bass. Gordie then passed his love for the outdoors to his son, Nickolas, to whom he loved to spend time with. When he wasn't in the woods, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. Gordie was also known to be quite the artist, as he loved to draw. He was so proud to know that this talent was also shared with his son, Dakota.
Gordie has been reunited with his beloved mother, Barbara. Surviving besides his father Gordy and spouse Erin are two children, Dakota and Nickolas Bigelow; two step-children, Seth and Victoria Spalding; siblings, Tanya (Martin) Cox, Teeka (Todd) Crider and Tabatha (Kevin) Conant; Gordie is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Funeral services for Gordon Bigelow Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2018, at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Don Lee officiating.
