Rev. Jack P. Willard, of GIbosnia, PA, formerly Hillsdale, MI, peacefully at home with family by his side on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Born on April 14, 1934, he was the son of the late John R. and Irene (Poorman) Willard.

Beloved husband for 56 years of Mariolin "Mo" (Davis) Willard. Loving father of James P. (Tricia) Willard of Hadley, PA, John R. (Emily) Willard of Richland Township, and the late Patrick F. Willard. Dear brother of George (Jane) Willard of Vermont. Brother-in-law of Thomas (Marj) Davis and P.C. (Lynn) David. Proud grandfather of Nadine (Paul) VanBuskirk, J. R. Willard, and James S. Willard. Loving great-grandfather of Cameron, Garret, and Addison VanBuskirk. Also survived by many dear colleagues & friends, especially his longtime childhood friend, James Frederick of New Kensington.

Jack was a graduate of New Kensington High School and went on to Purdue University where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After college, he served his country in the U.S. Army, 3rd Division, Ft. Benning, GA.

After the service, he went on to a successful engineering career at Alcoa for over 20 years, at which time he followed a calling to enter the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where he earned a Masters of Divinity degree.

Rev. Willard went on to serve at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, Bakerstown, PA, First Presbyterian Church of Hillsdale, Hillsdale, MI, Westmont U.P. Church, Johnstown, PA, Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, PA, and ultimately Memorial Park Presbyterian Church, Allison Park, PA.

Rev. Willard loved people and ministering to members of his church and community. He was a true shepherd, tending to his flock and devoting his life and energy to church work.

Jack had many additional passions including gardening, trees and shrubs, wine making, coin and stamp collecting, antiques, Lincoln memorabilia, reading, crossword puzzles, teaching and singing with the Men's Gospel Singers at Memorial Park Church.

Friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 3 p.m. in Memorial Park Presbyterian Church, 8800 Peebles Road, Allison Park, PA 15101. Private burial was held in Dorseyville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Hosanna Industries, 109 Rinard Ln. Rochester, PA 15074.
