Janet Elaine (Lindeman) Bowman Obituary
Janet Elaine Bowman, 73, of Jonesville, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Janet was born April 1, 1943, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to Lester and Flossie (Ives) Lindeman. On June 25, 1961, she married Franklin Bowman. He survives.

Janet grew up in Morenci and graduated from Morenci High School in 1961. Shortly after graduation she married Frank at the Morenci United Methodist Church. The Bowmans made their home in Hillsdale County where they raised four sons and were active members of the Pittsford Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Janet was a homemaker whose children and grandchildren were always at the center of her life. In 2006, she retired from Farm Bureau Insurance in Hillsdale, after 25 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, especially cake decorating, and ceramics. She and Frank also enjoyed traveling and camping.

In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by four sons, David (Susie) Bowman of Lakeland, FL; Tim (Christine) Bowman of Jonesville, MI; Scott (Becky) Bowman of Jerome, MI; Dan (Nikki) Bowman of Jonesville, MI; a brother, James (Patricia) Lindeman, of Adrian; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Trey Bowman; a half-sister, Norma Burr; and a half-brother, Karl Lindeman.

A funeral service for Janet will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 19, at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Mike Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday.
