JEAN ELAINE WINEBRENNER 1948-2015
HILLSDALE - Jean Elaine Winebrenner, 67, of Coldwater, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at her home. She was born in Hillsdale on April 22, 1948. Jean married James A. Winebrenner Sr. on December 21, 1968 and he survives.
Jean graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1966 and she retired in 2007 after working over 40 years in the health care industry as a certified nurses aide. She attended the Reformation Lutheran Church in Coldwater and formerly attended Hillsdale United Brethren Church. Jean was an avid collector of music boxes, snow globes and porcelain dolls. She enjoyed gospel music, especially the Gaithers and decorating for Christmas.
In addition to her husband, James, Jean is survived by daughter, Annette (Mike) Pfeifer of Coldwater; son, James A. Winebrenner Jr. of Coldwater; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Judith MacLennan of Inverness, Scotland, Wanda Waidelich of Marshall and Fran Gunderson of Novi and two brothers, Kenneth (Barb) Thomas of Battle Creek and Tony Shelbela of Coldwater.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, John and Charlotte (Porter) MacLennan and a sister.
Memorial services for Jean Winebrenner will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Hillsdale. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
