Jerrold Lynn "Jerry" Briner Obituary
Jerrold Lynn "Jerry" Briner, age 71, of Jonesville passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his home. He was born August 22, 1942 in Hillsdale to Ray and Martha (Patterson) Briner. He married Molly Sorrell in July of 1983, and she survives.

Jerry was the owner and operator of Briner Oil Company in Jonesville which he founded in 1972. He graduated from Reading High School, Class of 1961. Jerry was an avid horse puller and was a member of several horse pulling associations. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1961-1965 and was a member of the Hillsdale American Legion. He was also a member of the Hillsdale Moose Lodge. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed farming and being outdoors.

Surviving besides his wife of 30 years, Molly, are three daughters, Jeri Lynn Briner of Allen, Pamela Briner of Scotts, MI and Wendi (Chipper) Paradine of Coldwater; two granddaughters, Alexis and Isabella Brown; step-children, Jerry Turner of Sanford, MI, Jeff (Amy) Turner of Traverse City and Tracy (Jason) Bailey of Quincy; beloved nephew, Craig (Trina) Bowers of Jonesville; step-grandchildren, Cynthia (Matt) Evans, Madison Turner, Jeffrey (Andrea) Turner, Hayley Turner, Reegan Turner, Zeke Turner, Nick Green, Jacob Bailey and Katie Bailey; step great-grandchildren, Olivia and Blake Evans; siblings, Martha Jane (Phil) Bowers of Hillsdale, Kermit (Ila) Briner of Addison, Jack (Mary) Briner of Reading and Jim (Sally) Briner of Blissfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation for Jerry Briner will be Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 3-6 P.M. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
