Jerry M. Donahue Obituary
Jerry M. Donahue, 72, of Camden, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 5, 2017, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born Feb. 24, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph & Winifred (Holtom) Donahue. Jerry was married September 12, 1969 to Judy Sterling and she survives.
Jerry was a longtime truck driver, most recently the owner and operator of Carjackers, LLC for the past 8 or 9 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country from 1967-1969. Jerry and Judy were members of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Hillsdale and he had a passion for working and tinkering on classic cars and antique tractors, and he loved his dogs.
Surviving besides his wife Judy are two children, Kelly (Jamie) Tyler of Camden and Patrick (Vanessa) Donahue of Hillsdale; nine grandchildren, Kurtis, Kyle, Kristopher, Kaylie, Kirstyn and Klarissa Tyler and Alexis, Nathanial and Eleanor Donahue.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and mother and step-father, Herman & Winifred Knaff.
Memorial services for Jerry Donahue will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Hillsdale with Rev. Sandy Benes officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
