Katherine L. "Katie" Adams Obituary
Katherine L. "Katie" Adams, age 29, of Jackson and formerly of North Adams, passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in Leoni Twp., Jackson. Katie was born December 27, 1987 in Jackson to Steven & Carrie (Swackhamer) Adams.
Katie will always be remembered by her bright spirit, beautiful smile and heart of gold. Despite her struggles, she loved her children dearly. Katie had recently been employed at Applebee's Restaurant in Tampa Bay. She had attended North Adams-Jerome Schools and was a graduate of Jonesville Alternative High. Katie enjoyed playing several sports including basketball and volleyball while attending school. During the good times of her life she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are two children, Brinn Bradley and Brice Shaw; siblings, Casandra (Aaron) Uhl of Lancaster, Ohio, Corey Kennedy of Jackson, MI and Kyle Adams of Tampa Bay, FL; grandmothers, Gerri Swackhamer of Fairfield Glade, TN, Barbara Adams of Henderson, NV.
Katie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Carrie and Steven Adams. Her grandfathers, Donald Swackhamer and Howard Adams.
Memorial services for Katie Adams will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at a location in Jackson to be determined. There will be no visitation or calling hours at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
