Lloyd Ray Smith Obituary
Lloyd Ray Smith, 70, of Camden, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. He was born June 22, 1946 in Van Wert, Ohio. Lloyd married Cheryl Smith on May 8, 1976 and she preceded him in death.
Lloyd loved hunting, fishing and outdoor sports. He was also an accomplished gunsmith and gun collector. Lloyd adored his grandchildren and loved watching their sporting events. He was known for being very neighborly; always helping and caring for others.
Survivors include his dear friend of 17 years, Wilma Brooks; children, MiChelle (Bruce) Fowler of Reading, Kathrine (Dennis) Miller of Camden and Jessica (Tim) Miner of Quincy; sister, Justine Supak; cousin, Kathy Holcomb; grandchildren, Shaena, Dillon, Rochelle, Riley, Brandon, Tyler and Katie; great grandchildren, Aiiden, Carter, Brody, Caleb, Chloe, Bailey, Peyton and Brayden and Mother-in-law, Virginia Smith.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Dean Smith and Betty (Gerald Cooper); brother, David Beck; sister, Sharon Cvitkovic and aunt, Lola Bennett.
Lloyd's celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Reverend Doug Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in Cambria #2. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Farm or Hillsdale County 4-H youth shooting sports.
In lieu of flowers Lloyd asks that you take a child hunting or fishing.
