Lowell E. Myers Obituary

JACKSON - Lowell E. Myers of Somerset Center, Michigan passed away on February 7, 2016 at his home. He was born on May 29, 1924 in Wakarusa, Indiana to Aaron and Clara (Weldy) Myers.

Lowell is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lois (Wise); two children, Lynn Myers and Lynette (Jim) Hart; one son-in-law, Glen Mast; six grandchildren, Sherry (Andy) Stoll, Tim Mast, Kevin Mast, Jeremy Hart, Jana (Jeremy) Baird, Kaylee (Josh) Pauley; and six great grandchildren, Melinda and Kristy Stoll, Cody and Audrey Baird, Alexis Remington-Hart, and Brighton Pauley.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; his daughter, Linda D. Mast; daughter-in-law, Sara Myers; six brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Myers moved to Michigan in 1950 and helped start the Liberty Christian Fellowship. He has been the song leader there since the church started. Along with his wife Lois, they would attend the National Quartet Convention and have not missed one in 47 years. He enjoyed wood working and singing in different quartets and groups.

A funeral service to honor his life will be held at the New Jerusalem Christian Church (14977 Harper Rd, Cement City, MI 49233) on Friday, February 12, 2016 beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Stoll officiating. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, February 11t from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at New Jerusalem Christian Church. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Liberty Christian Fellowship or to Gideon's International.
