Luis Carrizales III Obituary

HILLSDALE - Luis V. Carrizales III, 64, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at his home. He was born September 21, 1951 in St. Johns, Michigan to Luis & Ernestina (Nanex) Carrizales, Jr. He was married Feb. 27, 2009 to Kay Hannan and she preceded him in death March 9, 2013.

Luis was formerly employed at Jonesville Tool, Essex Wire and the Oldsmobile Scramble in Coldwater. He was also formerly employed at the Michigan Education Association. Luis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Hillsdale American Legion. He was also a member of the Hillsdale Baptist Church.

Luis is survived by a daughter, Alicia Carrizales; grandchildren, Autumn Deck and Jade Bethel; step-children, Celeste Woodhams and Roman (Sarah) Szeburtschar; siblings, Josefina Grubbs, Gloria Carrizales, Tina Carrizales, Eva (Randall) Bernath, Vicki (Scott) Sanders, Roberto (Penny) Carrizales and Michelle (Tracy) Franks.

Luis was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kay, a son Christopher and a sister, Consuelo and ex-wives, Pearl & Gail.

Memorial services for Luis Carrizales will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 1 p.m., at the Hillsdale Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Pann officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m., at the church. Burial with military honors will take place at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
