Mr. Lyle Elton Gordon Obituary
Lyle Elton Gordon, of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away on November 18, 2016 at home, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Lenawee County. He was born February 1, 1926 in Vandercook, Michigan the son of William and Ethel (Hines) Gordon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mazel Gordon on October 30, 2003 and one sister, Wilma Stitt.

He is survived by two children, Alan (Teresa) Gordon of Osseo, MI and Ronda (John) Villa of North Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Serena (Doug) Gould, Shauna Gordon, Michael (Lindsay) Sword and Nicole (Joey) Garrighty; two great grandchildren, Alaina and McKenzie; one sister, Mary Baker; two nieces and nephew, Wayne Baker and family; his best friend and companion, Joyce Foster and her family; Doug (Karen) Foster, Bob (Colleen) Foster, Mark (Debbie) Foster, Kathy Hassenzahl, Deb (Brian) Stanley and Chris (Theresa) Foster.

Mr. Gordon attended Addison High School and he served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was the owner and operator of Gordon Water Well Drilling. He was a member of the Michigan Ground Water Association and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and was also a member of the Somerset Congregational Church.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Lyle Elton Gordon will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Lucas Miller officiating. Interment will take place in the Leonardson Cemetery in Pittsford, Michigan. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Hillsdale. They will also receive friends for visitation on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Great Lakes Hospice of Lenawee County or to the Somerset Congregational Church.
