Mrs.  Marilyn Marjorie (Karvel) Benson Obituary
Marilyn Marjorie Benson of Jonesville, Michigan passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Hillsdale County. She was born July 28, 1929 in Dearborn, Michigan the daughter of Arthur and Marion Marjorie (Jordan) Karvel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George S. Benson and three siblings, Arthur "Bud" Karvel, Jr., Judith Boyer and Jean Fenton. She is survived by three sons, Steven Benson of Jonesville, MI, George (Irene) Benson of Franklin Square, NY and David (Karen) Benson of Jackson, MI; one daughter, Marjorie Jo Mitchell of Colorado; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; close friend, Marca (Benson) Goforth and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Benson was a very active member at Countryside Bible Church where she taught Sunday School for several years. She worked as a School Bus Driver for many years for the Jonesville Public School District and she worked as a volunteer for the HOST Reading Program at Jonesville Public Schools. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed ceramics and Genealogy.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Marilyn Marjorie Benson will be held at Countryside Bible Church (1651 E. Litchfield Road, Jonesville, MI 49250) at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor John Lillie officiating. Interment will take place in the Moscow Plains Cemetery in Moscow Township. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Countryside Bible Church.
