Maudie M. (Shepherd) Greek Obituary
Maudie M. Greek, 95, of Allen, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 8, 2017 at her home in Allen with her family by her side.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1921 in Floyd County, Kentucky, the daughter of David and Evaline (Allen) Shepherd, they preceded her in death.
She married Norman G. Greek on June 8, 1951 in Auburn, Indiana, he preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2003.
Maudie was a member of South Litchfield Baptist Church. Her hobbies included baking, crochet, reading the bible, bird watching, poetry, singing, and taking care of children.
Survivors include her children, Joyce Chorba of Jackson, Joyce (Bruce) Bayles of Quincy, Charlie Gibson of Allen, David (Judy) Greek of Jonesville, Angela (Clifford) Spicer of Hillsdale, Barbara Greek of Allen, and Yvonne (Denver) Adkins of Bidwell, Ohio, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, William Blank and Melvin Greek, sisters, Bessie, Sallie, Mary, Easter, and Olive, brothers, James, John, Brice, and Henry Shepherd, and two grandchildren, Leann and Ellesha.
Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the South Litchfield Baptist Church, 10100 West Sterling Road, Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Pastor Kenneth F. Pierpont officiating. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana
