Max Howard DuBois II 1923-2015

LITCHFIELD - Max Howard DuBois II, 92, lifelong Litchfield resident, passed away Sept.15, 2015 in Lawrenceburg TN.

He was born July 22, 1923 in Wayne County, MI to Max and Ruth (Kellicut) DuBois. He attended the Todd Town School, Wayne University, Vanderbilt University, Alabama Polytechnic University, American University in France, and earned a Masters degree at Eastern Michigan University. He became a licensed engineer and worked 46 years as a power engineer in Dearborn. He also taught at Henry Ford Community College and worked as a substitute teacher and tutor. He enjoyed running the family farm and was proud to have built the first data center in the U.S.

Max served in the US Army as a paratrooper in the 101st Division during WWII and was a triple volunteer. He was a muzzle loader gun enthusiast, member of South Litchfield Baptist Church, and life member of the .

In 1946 he married Urusla (Provine) and she preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors include three daughters, Malina (James) Baas of Tennessee; Erroll-Ann Metzger of Louisiana; Suzanne (Richard) Smith of Tennessee; 1 son, Max DuBois III of Litchfield; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother Mark and two sisters, Erroll and Ellen.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Allen Cemetery with Reverend Clyde Wonders officiating. Visitation is scheduled Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Litchfield.

Memorials are suggested to South Litchfield Baptist Church.
