Mykel Ann Wilkinson Obituary
Three families have surrendered a loving treasure to the Savior.

Mykel Ann Wilkinson of the Hillsdale and Jackson area passed away on January 30, 2014 at Allegiance Health in Jackson. She was born on June 8, 1947 in Jackson, Michigan to Howard and Glennis (Sillaway) Wilkinson.

She is survived by her father, HR "Howard" Wilkinson; four sibilings, HR (Gail) Wilkinson, LJ (Kim) Wilkinson, Stacey (Howard) Double and KC (Jana Barns) Wilkinson; two nieces and eight nephews. She also had extended loving families with the Stewart and Smith families.

Mykel was preceded in passing by her mother, Glennis Wilkinson; one sister, Glennee Taylor and one brother-in-law, Jerry Taylor.

Mykel retired from Subway in Hillsdale where she worked for 13 years. She also worked at McDonalds and Key Opportunities in Hillsdale. Mykel Ann was a member of the Bird Lake Wesleyan Missionary Church. She enjoyed music, Needlepoint and family gatherings. Mykel was always smiling and would brighten the day of anyone she would talk to.

Her favorite thing to watch was WWE Wrestling. She was their biggest fan. She was loved for her pranks and joyous heart.

A funeral service to honor our treasured loved one will be held at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 beginning at 2:00 pm with Pastor Max Masters officiating. Interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, February 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home in Hillsdale.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Bird Lake Wesleyan Missionary Church.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the Summit Township Fire Department, DSI and ICU at Allegiance Health for all of their love and kindness that they have shown to Mykel. All that knew her loved her.
