Mrs.  Oneida (Girdham) Weber-Sanford Obituary
Oneida Weber-Sanford, 101, of Hudson, died Sunday, September 10, 2016, at her home. She was born September 29, 1914, in Swanton, OH, to the late Grover and Edna (Texter) Girdham. She married Louis Weber in 1933, and he died in 1963. In 1979, she married Wyman Sanford, and he also preceded her in death in 1998.

Oneida loved time spent with family and her many friends and neighbors, many of whom called her "Grandma". She was a very devout Catholic in praying the rosary every evening with Mother Angelica also enjoyed TV game shows, playing Bingo and being involved in many activities provided by Leffingwell Estates, where she spent the most recent years of her life. She will be long-remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are seven of her and Louis's nine children, Louise (Richard) Laiman of Lyons, OH, Alvin (Beverly) Weber of Hudson, Joan Allion of Alvordton, OH, Mary Shulters of Ann Arbor, Carol (Gil) Bond of Angola, IN, Cathy (Mickey) Dimaggio of Grand Prairie, TX, and Peggy (Jim) Taylor of Adrian; 29 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jane Girdham; special friend Arlene Garr and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very much.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Oneida was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Joseph Weber; all eight of her siblings, Glenwood Girdham, Burt Girdham, Clifton Girdham, Emma Reed, Tom Girdham, Leona Brown, Doris Ash, and John Girdham; son-in-law, Keith Allion, and three grandchildren, Julie Smith, Christine and John Moore.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson with Fr. Joseph Krupp as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
