Patricia Dawn (Baker) Nisbett Obituary
Patricia Dawn Baker Nisbett of Palmetto, FL passed away on Monday December 5, 2016 at the age of 78.
Dawn is survived by her son Bradley Nisbett of Palmetto, FL; daughter Nancy Nisbett of Clovis, CA; and brothers Richard Baker and Robert Keith Baker. She is preceded in death by her husband Earl.
Dawn was born on April 23, 1938 in Morenci, MI to Floyd and Helen Baker. She graduated from Morenci High School in 1956 and attended Adrian College. Dawn married Earl James Nisbett in 1960. After a brief time living in Tecumseh, MI, Dawn and Earl moved to Hillsdale, MI where they lived until retiring to Palmetto, FL in 2007.
Dawn worked for Camp Fire, Inc. as the Executive Director in Hillsdale County, retiring in 2000 after 42 years of service. She was active in the Hillsdale First United Methodist Church and was involved in many community organizations including the Jaycees, Hillsdale Community Theater and the Red Hat Society.
Memorial services for Patricia Dawn Nisbett will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hillsdale First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Brook officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Medina Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
