HILLSDALE - Peggy Ann Andridge, 86 of Owensboro, Kentucky and former longtime Hillsdale resident, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Heartford House Hospice in Owensboro, KY after a brief illness. Peggy was born May 25, 1929 in Hillsdale to Victor & Laura (Greene) Spieth. She was married in 1946 to the love of her life Alan Andridge Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1980.

Peggy had a love for music and she had an excellent voice. Growing up, her kids would often awake to her singing and whistling show tunes and music from the big band era. Music was a daily part of her life.

Her love for her children was immense and she showed it by her involvement in their school's as PTA President, "room mother" as well as being a band mom and choir mom. When grandchildren arrived, she spoiled them with her wonderful baking of chocolate chip cookies, brownies and her famous Man Size Chocolate Drop cookies. Her Mac & Cheese was a favorite too. In addition, she spent hours playing with her grandchildren. From cars, to dolls, the Lion King of art, she dedicated sole attention to them, often needing to be "rescued."

Peggy was very involved in the Hillsdale community, serving 8 years for the Hillsdale County Commissioners, chairing the Personnel, Salary and Wage Committee and a member of the Hillsdale Community School Board of Education for 4 years. Peggy had also served on the Tri-County Health Commission and the Social Services Board. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hillsdale and the Hillsdale Democratic Party. She had a servant heart.
