Rex W. Hartley Obituary
Rex W. Hartley, 76, of Hillsdale, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, in Hillsdale. He was born November 15, 1936 in Tekonsha, MI. to Frank & Muriel (Keller) Hartley. He was married May 14, 1977 to Alice Simmons and she survives.

Rex was formerly employed at Beck Chevrolet and Stillwell Ford in the auto body shop. He had also worked at Allied Products and retired from Republic Tool & Die in Bellville. He had attended the North Adams Baptist Church was a former member of the Allen Knights of Pythias. Rex enjoyed motorcycle riding and boating, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving besides his wife Alice is a daughter, Dawn (Paul) Reynolds of Tampa, FL.; step children, Cindy Goodwin of Cincinnati and Vincent Goodwin of Osseo; 6 grandchildren, Tiffany Reynolds, Branem & Quinten Goodwin, Brandon, Heather and Brittany Casey; 3 great grandchildren, Aaron, Dominic and Bella; and a sister, Edna Belle Shafer of Coldwater.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings, Dale & Kenneth Hartley , Dorothy Denbrock and Betty Bell.

There will be a visitation of family and friends for Rex Hartley on Monday, September 9, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. According to Rex's wishes, cremation will follow. Private family interment will take place at a later date at the Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha.
