Richard Joseph "Joe" Fether Obituary
Joe Fether, 55, of Hillsdale passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 25, 1958 in Hudson to Donald and Mary (Aumock) Fether, Mary survives in Pittsford. He married Kristine Lambright on August 25, 1979 and she survives.

Joe was employed at Hillsdale College and formerly worked at Hillsdale Tool for 16 years. He was a graduate of Pittsford High School, class of 1976 and later attended classes through Michigan State University. Joe was a car enthusiast who especially loved antique automobiles. He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, boating and canoeing.

Surviving besides his wife Kristine and mother Mary are 2 children, Andy Fether of Hillsdale and Tina Hartman & Mike Pope of Sidney, OH; two brothers, James Fether of Cheboygan, MI and John Fether & Selena Hannibal of Pittsford; mother-in-law, Linda Lambright of Hillsdale; 6 grandchildren, Ethan, Devin, Hailey, Ryan, Nathanael and Aubrey;

Joe was preceded in death by his father, sister Jodi Lynn and father-in-law, Dale Lambright.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. There will be a private family graveside service for Joe Fether at Leonardson Cemetery in Pittsford.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Hillsdale County or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Selena Hannibal for helping with Joe's care during his illness.
