Robert Davis White Obituary
Robert Davis White was born March 26, 1941 at Bryan, Ohio to Ed and Viola White of Pioneer, Ohio. Robert passed on to his eternal home from Leesburg, Florida on March 12, 2014.

Bob has been dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his wife, Marilyn, daughter, Merry Carol White, Nevada, MO and son, Jim White and wife, Tracy, and grandchildren, Katie, Amanda, Michaela, David, Wesley, and Christy White, Elgin, IL, his brother, Chuck White and wife, Dottie, Apollo Beach, FL, his brother-in-law, Chuck Orth and wife, Wanda, Edwardsburg, MI, his Aunt Mary Ringenberg, Hicksville, OH, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Bob grew up in Pioneer, Ohio, graduated from North Central HS in 1959, and married Marilyn in 1963. They had two children, and moved to Tavares, FL in 1975.

Bob's work career has centered around repairing automotive vehicles and lawn and garden equipment. While living in Ohio, Bob worked as a draftsman at Aro Corp., Bryan, OH, and Service Manager for Leutheuser Buick GMC, Hillsdale, MI. In Florida, he managed a body shop, developed and taught an auto body repair program at Lake Tech, and owned and operated an auto air-conditioning repair business,.

In 2001, Bob and Marilyn moved to El Dorado Springs, MO, where they built a shop and home. Bob sold and repaired lawn and garden equipment and enjoyed "life in the country" for the next nine years. In 2010, Bob and Marilyn decided to retire, sold everything that wouldn't fit in their 5th wheel, and have been full-timing in their RV the past 3+ years.

Bob's retirement years included a summer long excursion visiting national parks throughout the west from New Mexico to Washington, visiting family and friends throughout the country, and Workamping at Amazon Fulfillment Center in Coffeyville, KS and Adventureland Amusement Park in Des Moines, IA. His greatest pleasure has been volunteering as a "fix-it" person at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center in Leesburg, FL.

Bob was a strong Christian man who enjoyed studying God's Word, fellowshipping with other Christians, listening to Southern Gospel music, and helping his children with his "jack of all trades" talents.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Lake View United Brethren Church, Merry Lake, MI, on Sunday, June 29th, at 2:00 PM.

We rest in the assurance that we will see him again, and we look forward to that day.
